Belvedere Vodka is to collaborate with internationally renowned designer Matthew
Williamson to design an exclusive garment inspired by the new ‘Pink Grapefruit’ flavour drink, the company has announced.
Following the launch of Belvedere’s new Pink Grapefruit vodka, Williamson, who made his debut during London Fashion Week in September 1997, has designed a limited edition kaftan that aims to capture the spirit of summer and which targets female fashionistas.
“I am thrilled to collaborate with a brand like Belvedere, which embodies a contemporary sense of luxury and vigour, and the limited-edition kaftan is designed particularly with that kind of woman in mind,” says Matthew Williamson, whose creations over the years have proved a hit with fashion celebrities Kate Moss, Helena Christensen and Jade Jagger.
In keeping with his innovative and spirited design aesthetic, Williamson will also create a jumper, also inspired by Pink Grapefruit, which Leigh Lezark, an IMG model and member of Indie band ‘MIsShapes’ will model at the ‘Pink Grapefruit’ launch party to be held in May in New York City.
The limited edition silk kaftan is available exclusively at Matthew Williamson boutiques and retails for $1,060.
Belvedere Pink Grapefruit is 40 percent by volume (ABV) and exhibits medium-bodied flavour that is sweet and spicy with notes of citrus, ginger and vanilla. There are no additives in Belvedere Pink Grapefruit, making it an all-natural drink.
