Chris Hyman, Chief Executive, Serco Group said: “Serco’s Pulse Awards recognise the incredible achievements of Serco’s people, our customers and partners. Under the leadership of Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Airport Freezone and President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Griffiths has been the driving force behind the remarkable achievement of Dubai International. As chief executive he has been responsible for realising Dubai’s vision of creating a vital air transport hub and a world-class organisation providing the highest standards of quality service. I am delighted that Serco has been part of this success providing air traffic services at the airport for more than 40 years and delighted to recognise these achievements by awarding Paul the Global Pulse Customer Award.”
Serco provides services to companies and governments, including Dubai Airports, in sectors as diverse as health, education, transport, science and defence. The candidates for the award are nominated by Serco’s senior executives from around the globe and are then assessed by a senior external judging panel.
“It is a great honour to receive this award and is testament to all the hard work and effort the entire Dubai Airports team has put into building Dubai International into the global hub it is today. However, this is just the beginning as we embark on a new journey. The SP2020 project, our expansion plan for Dubai International, is still in its infancy and will test our mettle as we begin to develop close to $8bn (about Dh29.38 bn) worth of new infrastructure,” said Griffiths.
